Privacy Policy

PoVoc (“we”, “us”) is a vocabulary learning product available on the web, as a Chrome extension, and on mobile. This policy explains what data we collect and why.

• Account data: email address and basic profile details from Google Sign-In (via Supabase Auth).
• Vocabulary & learning data: words you save, surface forms, meanings, notes, labels, study progress, and mind points (including optional page URL, page title, and context sentence when you choose to save them).
• Website content you select: in the Chrome extension, text you highlight or select so we can look up meanings and optionally save that selection.
• Authentication credentials: session tokens stored locally in the extension / browser so you stay signed in. We do not receive your Google password.
• Usage needed to run the product: API requests for dictionary lookup, translation, TTS, OCR/catch features, and billing status. Server logs may include IP address and timestamps for security and abuse prevention.
• Payment data: if you subscribe on the web, payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy (Merchant of Record). We receive subscription status (e.g. tier, renewal dates), not your full card number.

• Authenticate you and keep your pocket in sync across web, extension, and mobile
• Improve reliability, prevent abuse, and fix bugs
• Process subscriptions and entitlement checks
• Respond to support / privacy requests

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your vocabulary or page content for advertising. We do not use your data to determine creditworthiness.

The extension needs access to pages you visit so you can look up words while reading and see highlights for saved vocabulary. Host permissions are used only for that single purpose. You can disable the extension on specific sites with the built-in blocklist. When you open the PoVoc website, interactive page features are disabled to avoid interfering with the app.

• Google — Sign-In; optional Cloud TTS / AI services used for lookup and pronunciation
• Lemon Squeezy — web subscriptions (Merchant of Record)
• Apple / Google Play billing — when mobile in-app purchases are enabled

These providers process data only to operate PoVoc, under their own terms and data-processing arrangements.

We keep your account and vocabulary data while your account is active. You may delete words or request account deletion by contacting hasantezcan77@gmail.com. Server logs are retained for a limited period for security.

• Sign out or uninstall the extension at any time
• Block sites from extension features in settings
• Delete saved words / mind points from the app
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by email

PoVoc is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
